This Jacobean revival dresser dates back to the 1920s and
show cases some of the most beautiful hand carved details I have ever seen on a piece of furniture!
The dresser has been sanded down, strengthened with an epoxy where needed and refinished using liquid wood, stain and paint. This combination beautifully blends beige, gray and brown undertones to create a very neutral yet timeless old world finish . All the details have been hand-painted and blended to create a breathtaking contrast which makes the wood carvings become the true οΈstar of the show. This dresser has 5 dovetailed drawers all made of solid wood . Each of the drawers have been lined and decoupaged with a coordinating vintage rice paper design. The interior has been wood conditioned for easy sliding with a refreshing teakwood scented furniture paste wax.
The bottom of the dresser showcases some exquisite Jacobean solid wood details . Gilded using 24 karat gold leaf sheets and aged with stain to create an old world patina finish. All hardware have been upgraded and entire dresser has been sealed with a satin sheen poly acrylic.
